Approaching By Sea

Call 'Fambridge Yacht Haven' on VHF Channel 80 for berthing assistance. Please observe the 8knot speed limit through Burnham past Wallasea Island/Baltic Wharf to Creeksea and through our moorings while keeping your wash to a minimum. Speed limits throughout the river are marked by yellow buoys.

Accessible

Sheltered

North Fambridge is 6nm upriver from Burnham on Crouch. Approaching from seaward, pass through Burnham Fairway on the south (port) bank of the river and pass Essex Marina and the commercial Baltic Wharf at Wallasea Island also on your port side. The river is wide and deep to North Fambridge, but keep clear of Bridgemarsh Island, a very large area of flooded marshland on the north (starboard) side of the main river channel, which can be entirely submerged on very high tides.

Approach to Yacht Station

Approach to Yacht Haven

Approaching North Fambridge, our Yacht Station is on your starboard side next to our mid-river moorings. The 120m Yacht Station visitor pontoon is easily seen with two single, green flashing navigation lights, one at either end (FL(3)G.4s). Continue beyond the swinging moorings for half a mile keeping towards to the south side of the river to avoid traffic near the Yacht Station. On your starboard side you'll see a mark known as 'Stow Post' in the mouth of Stow Creek (QF(4)Y.8s). Enter the creek leaving Stow Post to port and keep within the marked channel leading towards our marina on the starboard side.
