Major Refurbishment & Rebuild Programme Planned at Lymington
One of the most talked about subjects at the marina has been the
need to refurbish and/or replace our toilet and shower
facilities.
You will be as pleased as I am to learn that plans are now being
drawn up to refurbish both the Fortress and Floating toilet
facilities and we hope to start work on these just after
Easter.
Temporary facilities will be provided and it is hoped that the
work will be completed in early June.
Drawings for these schemes will be available in the Fortress
blocks and if you have any comments you would like to make relating
to these please contact us via the website or email
me at: edward@lymingtonyachthaven.com
In the slightly longer term, we also plan a major rebuild of the
existing planning permission that we have in place for the back of
the main building. This will involve a new two storey extension
which will provide both new shower blocks for male and female
customers as well as additional facilities for the bar and kitchen
areas. Once drawings for this ambitious scheme are available then
we will post them in the foyer of the main building - please feel
free to let us have your comments.
So at last Lymington will get a major upgrade to our facilities.
Please be patient during the work; we will do our utmost to ensure
that access to at least adequate facilities is maintained.
Expected completion of all the schemes is Spring 2013.
As part of this scheme we will also be replacing our Bosun's
store with a new building, which will be situated in place of the
containers going into the berth holders' car park.
