Fambridge Yacht Haven is a 220 berth marina and boatyard located in the scenic North Fambridge village on the River Crouch. This role also involves providing maintenance support to the newly refurbished Ferry Boat Inn pub which is owned by the marina Group.

We are seeking a full-time Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at Fambridge Yacht Haven.

Responsibilities

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, organised and outgoing individual with excellent attention to detail and general ‘handyman’ skills.

You will be responsible for organising and carrying out general repairs and maintenance to our busy marina facility and our newly refurbished Ferry Boat Inn together with its 6 letting rooms as well as recording monthly visual inspections of our marina facility, safety equipment and to various items of plant / lifting equipment.

Excellent communication and organisation skills are a must, you must be friendly, approachable, outgoing and present a flexible and ‘can do’ work ethic.  You will be ‘on call’ during weekends and may be required to attend and make repairs out of your normal hours should the need arise.

Skills we're looking for

  • Organised and able to carry out general and cosmetic repairs to various building structures, domestic systems, floating pontoons
  • Able to organise and maintain written and digital maintenance records
  • Confident, outgoing and proactive
  • Self-motivated and able to work without supervision
  • Able to build, maintain and share a scheduled maintenance, routine maintenance and a preventative maintenance schedule
  • Able to instruct and organise outside contractors when professional repairs are needed
  • An effective communicator, both verbal and written with other members of our small team, our customers, marina tenants, and customers of the pub
  • A team player with a flexible approach to tasks
  • Prepared to work outdoors in all seasons
  • Able to remain calm when under pressure with a positive and patient attitude

Good working knowledge of domestic electrical and plumbing systems, IT and Wi-Fi cabling / systems together with general handyman skills, ability to use hand / power tools and a full UK driving licence is essential.
