Devon Diving Legend’s New Home at Yacht Haven Quay, Plymstock

04 March 2013

Ray-Ives-04One man's lifelong collection of underwater treasures is now on display in a new museum at Yacht Haven Quay. And not only is the museum new, but Ray Ives has also found recent stardom all over the world.

Devon film-maker Amanda Bluglass has produced the beautiful and touching film "Ray: A Life Underwater" which tenderly profiles the elderly diver revealing his lifetime's collection of curios that he's picked from the seabed off Plymouth and Devon.

Fans of the award-winning 14-minute film can buy a copy from the Marina Office at Yacht Haven Quay or watch online right here - www.rayalifeunderwater.co.uk

Ray: A Life Underwater has already won awards on both sides of the Atlantic and has been selected for showings in Europe and America.

The film has nearly 200,000 viewings on Vimeo, which presents high-quality video from a vibrant, respectful community of creative users who care about how and where they show their work.

"I loved all the films but the one that grabbed me the most was Ray: A Life Underwater. A wonderful look at a fascinating life. It's my type of film and it was brilliantly done."

Phillip Bloom, juror, Super Shorts International Film Festival 2011
