An intrepid team of cyclists from Lymington, Hampshire are embarking on a 480 mile cycle on Sunday 6 May from Largs in Ayrshire to raise money for the Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust.
The team are pictured here at the start of their journey at the entrance to Largs Yacht Haven, the 700 berth Firth of Clyde Marina with marina director, Carolyn Elder. As the cyclists work out of one of Yacht Havens other marinas, Lymington Yacht Haven, on the south coast, they wanted to link the two Yacht Haven marinas in their quest to raise funds for the Trust. Their journey will take 6 days and so far the team have raised over £4,000.
Yacht Havens have sponsored the team to provide much needed support en route and will be delighted to welcome them back to their home territory. The Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust provides recovery from cancer through sailing for 8 - 24 year olds and was founded by the round the world solo sailor Ellen MacArthur.
