Neyland Yacht Haven are pleased to announce the completion of their newly commissioned patio area, in perfect time for the summer season. The new design was drawn up by the marina team, who have chosen textures that blend sympathetically with the landscape to create the perfect vista, leading the eye down to the water.
Whether passing by or stopping to eat at the Brunel Café, both berth holders and visitors to the marina can now enjoy a drink or a meal in a truly special setting, overlooking the picturesque moorings.
The design utilises a variety of materials, including natural rope, glass screens, decking and stone slab-work, bounded by a replica timber boats bow, to provide a sheltered casual seating area set within rock-garden style flowerbeds. A grassed lawn within the design will be used to house a temporary marquee, enabling the marina to host events throughout the year.
Several local companies kindly provided quotations for the project, with Cowley Builders of Kilgetty finally being selected and completing the work on time and to an impressively high standard.
James Cotton, Neyland Marina Director, commented; "We are all pleased with the end result of the project, and are gratified that so many berth holders and members of the public have commented on how stunning the new patio area is. We very much look forward to using it to entertain our valued existing customers and to welcome new visitors to the marina."
