Over 50 boats joined the legendary annual flotilla to sail up Cresswell River from Lawrenny to Cresswell Quay as part of the Cresswell River Carnival.
The flotilla of fancy dress boats and crew left Lawrenny and caught the spring tide upstream. The large 7.1m tide allowed for a greater number of boats to attend this year which added to the atmosphere and unique spectacle.
Upon reaching Cresswell Quay, Lawrenny Yacht Club hosted a BBQ and prize giving with awards for Best Dressed Boat, Best Crew, Best Boy and Best Girl. The Samba Doc band welcomed boats ashore with lively Brazilian music, whilst the Cresselly Arms, Pembrokeshire's Pub of the Year 2015, looked after the drinks.
Congratulations to all the winners and thank you to Lawrenny Yacht Club for organising a wonderful event.
