As we are happily putting those awful winter months behind us and looking forward to Spring, Plymouth Yacht Haven has been busy continuing improvements at the marina.
In a joint initiative between Plymouth Yacht Haven and the Mount Batten Centre, there has now been a defibrillator installed at the marina. A defibrillator is a machine that delivers an electric shock to the heart when someone is having a cardiac arrest. The defibrillator is situated on the ground floor outside the reception entrance and is accessible by the public in case of emergency. As part of our Active Marina programme, we will be organising a free introductory session on the use of the defibrillator later this year. This life saving tool could save someone's life, as every minute without CPR and defibrillation reduces their chances of survival by 10%.
For more information about this lifesaving piece of equipment, please contact the marina on 01752 404231 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
