The Rolex Fastnet finish culminated on Friday in a grand prize-giving event on the Mount Batten Green, overlooking Plymouth Sound and Plymouth Hoe. The weather could not have been more perfect with bright sunshine and clear blue skies.
Whilst the crew all gathered on the green to celebrate, the team at Plymouth Yacht Haven took a quiet half hour to check and update the berthing situation around the marina. Whilst peacefully walking the pontoons in the evening sun, we were entertained by an air display organised by the Royal Ocean Racing Club, which soared over the marina and the Mount Batten peninsula drawing circles in the sky. Many of our berth holders emerged onto the decks of their boats to watch. A wonderful end to a fantastic week.
