The Yachtsman's Regatta, run by the Royal Western Yacht Club, was blessed with perfect sailing conditions for three days; blue skies, good breezes and competitive racing.
Plymouth Yacht Haven was delighted to support the 2015 Plymouth Regatta by offering berthing to the MOCRA multihull fleet as well as lifting, launching and recovering the J24 fleet.
Neil Dunkley, Rear Commodore Sailing for RWYC, was quick to praise the hard work of the Plymouth Yacht Haven boatyard team who worked late into Sunday night to ensure the entire J24 fleet was recovered:
"We would like to say a big thank you to Plymouth Yacht Haven for supporting our regatta last weekend. We were blessed with perfect sailing conditions with blue skies and good breezes - all in all champagne sailing.
We totalled almost 70 yachts competing across 3 race courses that incorporated the J24, MOCRA and Seascape national championships.
Your generous arrangement of having some of our yachts berthed in your marina worked well and they were full of praise for your hospitality.
Again, thanks to Plymouth Yacht Haven - we enjoyed having you as an event partner."
Having hosted the Route des Princes in 2013, Plymouth Yacht Haven is quickly growing a reputation as the best event marina in the south-west. The demand of the 2015 Plymouth Regatta served as perfect practice for the Plymouth Yacht Haven Team who are preparing to host the prestigious 2015 Rolex Fastnet Race and Race Village in mid-August.
Plymouth Yacht Haven looks forward to supporting the Plymouth Regatta in 2016.
