Guest Services Coordinator
We are looking for 2 new members of staff to join our team at an exciting time for our company. The new members of staff will play a pivotal, front of house role as we launch the Salt Lodge Hotel, as well as providing Haven Master support for the day to day marina operations.
The Salt Lodge is a new ten room Aprt/Hotel that will open at Troon Yacht Haven in early 2020. It is owned and managed by Troon Yacht Haven part of the Yacht Haven Group of marinas so the new employees will be required to manage the hotel on a day-to-day basis, as well as being part of the wide marina team.
Applicants must have previous hospitality experience, preferably in hotels or B&Bs, as well as a positive personality and a proactive can do attitude to work. Experience of boats would be an advantage but not essential but you will be active outside on the marina each day. This is not a traditional hotel receptionist role. You will be involved in both the day to day running of the hotel and the marina.
The role will be varied and shared by 2 people, it will include weekend and evening shifts as per the rota. It will cover a number of tasks of which a few are noted below:
- Allocation of guest rooms
- Checking-in hotel guests
- Liaise with housekeeping & inspect work
- Manage booking system
- Deal with hotel enquiries
- Assist with marketing and social media
- Perform room checks and organise room maintenance
- Allocation of berths to visiting yachts and taking payments
- Pontoon & boatyard patrols
- Sale of fuel & monitoring stock
- Exceptional customer service skills
- To be a reliable team player
- Computer literacy and a good telephone manner
- To be punctual, motivated and a problem solver
