Saturday saw a veritable armada of 13 boats invade Looe. It was great to see a mixture of both new and seasoned customers in a variety of craft, ranging from Ensign Boat’s brand new 16’ prototype, through to a stunning 40 year old Fairey Spearfish. With tropical weather, Cornwall’s beautiful coastline was at it’s absolute best and what better reminder how lucky we are to have all of this right on our doorstep!

Not content with our Cornish invasion, we had 20 entrants in Sunday’s fishing competition and some really impressive results. And let’s face it, spending a day out on the water in this weather, fish or no fish, wasn’t a massive hardship! However the trophy went undisputedly to Mike on Bojangles with his 13lb ling – lots of which we had for lunch yesterday – thanks Mike! Thank you to Lee for organising this, the girls in the Mess Room for putting on a great spread for the hungry returning fishermen, and of course to all of those who took part. We’ll do it all again in a week or two.
