Last week, we marked the well-earned retirement of John Shepherd, founder of John Shepherd Boat Transport and a long-time supporter of Largs Yacht Haven.

John began his career in boat transport in 1982 and went on to establish his own business just three years later. Over the past four decades, he has become a highly respected and much-loved figure in Scotland’s marine community, supporting marinas, boat owners, and businesses with professionalism and warmth.

Here at Largs, John has been a trusted partner and a regular presence around the boatyard. Whether assisting with deliveries, collections, or offering a friendly word of advice, John has made a lasting impression on all of us.

From the whole team at Largs Yacht Haven, we send our sincere thanks and very best wishes to John as he begins this new chapter. His contributions to our marina and the wider boating community will not be forgotten.
