We’re on the lookout for someone enthusiastic to become part of our awesome team here in Largs, Ayrshire. You’ll be helping run a buzzing marina that’s home to over 700 boats, a huge boatyard, dry berthing, and shops and services right by the sea.

Who we are
Largs Yacht Haven is a family-owned marina on the Firth of Clyde. Part of the Yacht Havens Group with marinas and locations around the UK and Netherlands, we have been family-owned since we began in 1972 and still run by subsequent generations today. You could say we’ve got saltwater in our veins!
We take pride in our marina, ensuring it provides all the facilities for boat owners and the local market, as well as protecting the area for generations to come.

To be part of our team, you must be passionate, approachable and take pride in your work. You’ll be dealing with customers face-to-face in the boatyard, on the pontoons, in the office and on the phone.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing maintenance support around the site including in the marina and yard.
- Assisting with operation of the hoist/crane and boat movements within the yard.
- Assisting with Dry Berthing and moving vessels around the marina.
- Assisting with chocking/propping of boats adhering to company procedures as part of a team.
- To be flexible to assist in any extra duties requested by the Yard Foreman and/or Marina Manager.
Applicants must...
Any experience of general maintenance is advantageous as well as a ‘can-do’ attitude.
Applicants should have a broad understanding of boating and the range of vessel types and a willingness to learn. Experience in securing vessels ashore is desirable, along with any certified qualification for the use of plant and equipment would also be beneficial, but not essential.
Applicants must also:
- Be a positive, reliable team player.
- Have good customer care skills.
- Have a broad understanding of boating.
- Be physical fit and prepared to work outdoors all year round.
- Be able to perform various maintenance tasks and learn about our boatyard/marina
- Be punctual, motivated and a problem solver.
- Have basic computer literacy and a good telephone manner.
- Have a full UK driving licence.
In return:
This is a permanent position of 40 hours per week including occasional weekends on a rota basis (currently 1 in 5). A degree of flexibility is required, depending on peak busy periods.
