We are recruiting a Night Haven Master to join our Haven Team at Largs Yacht Haven. A new member of staff is required to join an enthusiastic and professional team in Largs, where we specialise in the berthing, lifting and storage of vessels of all types at our 700 berth marina in Ayrshire.
We provide a 24/7 service to our customers, welcoming 1000s of visiting boats each year, giving boaters a warm welcome and a safe haven to enjoy.
Key Responsibilities
Being a Night Haven Master is much more than just security. You'll be required to welcome and assist boat owners in the marina, carry out important monitoring of fuel and electricity usage, take payments and provide local information to visitors. It's no exaggeration to say that during the summer, the night can be as busy as the day!
We're looking for someone with the following skills and/or experiences:
- Basic knowledge of boats.
- An approachable, friendly and helpful demeanor.
- Experience of customer care.
- A positive, proactive attitude.
- A willingness to work outside in all weathers.
- Comfortable being a lone worker.
Through experience, this role often suits those with previous armed forces experience and/or a security experience, but we're open to all backgrounds.
Your working hours will be 6pm to 8am, working a week-on-week-off rota system with our other Night Haven Master.
