Today we mark the passing of an extraordinary man.
Ray Ives was part of the fabric of our yard at Yacht Haven Quay. A legend of the diving world. Charming, warm, caring and on occasion mischievous!
Ray was a natural story teller and entertainer; there was never a dull moment with Ray around. He was many things to many people, to us, he was our friend.
It won't be the same without you, Ray.

A Life Underwater
Over a decade ago, with Ray's infamy growing among the diving community and Plymouth, Yacht Havens sponsored a film to document his love of the ocean.
Ray: A Life Underwater went on to win countless awards and The Ray Ives Museum - colloquially known as Ray's Plaice - became a destination for budding divers, school trips, historians and more.
