Individual comments

We are delighted to offer annual berthing to a large number of boats, along with seasonal and overnight visitors throughout the year whilst working with Largs Sailing Club and the Scottish Sailing Institute.

Layh Family On Pontoon"Largs truly is the Scotlands Scotlands top Marina. The location and facilities are first class, but most of all, the people and staff are determined to ensure customers have a great experience!" Mrs Curran, Berth Holder

"Largs is the perfect sailing venue. The spectacular scenery, good race management, shore entertainment, and of course, the infamous ice cream makes for a fun regatta, whatever the age." Shirley Robertson, Olympic Yachtswoman

"I just wanted to express my thanks to you and your staff for your assistance in delivering our wayward oil.  You have gone above and beyond the call of duty and for that I am most grateful.  I'll be sure to buy you all a thank you drink next time we're in town!" Alex, TS Jack Petchey

LRW14 D2shore Pfm1043“After returning to my home in Austria I would like to express my thanks to all of your team for the great help and fantastic job done helping me to launch and to load my fleet of Ribs.  It is not usual that we are welcomed and supported by such friendly and skilled staff members  as up there in Scotland!  Especially thanks for the unbureaucratic and quick help even when arriving after official crane closing hours.” Mr Thuringer

"Largs is the jewel in the crown of Scottish sailing" Sir Chay Blythe

"I was in Glascow and decided to visit Largs for lunch. Absolutely fantastic, can not recommend it highly enough!"  Mr G Manchester

Regatta feedback

Largs regularly hosts rallies and regattas along with competitive, weekly racing. We have experience of hosting national and international championship regattas

Dragon Boat Edinburgh Gold Cup 2“I write on behalf of the British Dragon Association to express our thanks for the part you and your marina staff played in making the above events so successful.  All the staff were friendly and co-operative and worked well beyond their normal hours to get all the boats out on Friday night.  Given the weather on Saturday, it was a wise decision and thank you for alerting us to the forecast, and please pass on our thanks to them for staying on.  It was very much appreciated. The Yacht Haven is certainly well equipped and spacious, and Scotts is by far the best eating place we found in the town outside of Largs Sailing Club.  The Yacht Haven, SSI and LSC all worked seamlessly together, which is rare in my experience of regatta centres.” Ron James, British Dragon Association

"Now that the dust has settled after the Edinburgh Cup, I would like to thank everyone at Largs Yacht Haven for their friendliness, competence and generosity of spirit which made such a difference to our enjoyment of the event" Julian Brooke Houghton, British Dragon sailor

"As one of the competitors, can I thank you for your and your staff's work last week. Everything seemed to go very well and people were unfailingly helpful." Patrick Gifford , British Dragon Association committee

Layh Laserspluspencil"We must say a most heartfelt thank you to the entire team in Largs who pulled out all the stops for us last week. The final afternoon and evening really demonstrated just how amazing the team were when the racing ran later than hoped and the boats only got back to the dock just as the lift out team were due to finish work for the day.  Most people would have just left to get on with their Friday evenings with family and friends and left the Dragons to wait until the morning.  But not the Largs Yacht Haven boys and girls who rescheduled all their plans so that they could stay on and work until almost 9pm to ensure that every last Dragon was out of the water that night."
