We are delighted to have invested further in new environmental initiatives with the installation of two new interceptor tanks; one at the marina slipway and one at the Yacht Station slipway.

The new state-of-the-art interceptor tanks are designed to ensure oils, paint fragments and other materials are prevented from re-entering the river when boats are lifted ashore. The new system, called the ‘Morclean Reclaim System’, is housed within an 'Environmental Wash Centre'. The system collects and filters the water used when washing boats, effectively recycling it, thus reducing water wastage.

Furthermore, following a partnership with a new waste provider, we can also boast that zero site waste ends up in landfill.

Danyal Adams, Marina Manager, commented, “As custodians, we’re responsible for maintaining and preserving our marinas, ensuring our coastal areas are future-proofed for generations to come. We’ve listened to what our customers and the marine industry are saying about making marina operations more sustainable, so we’re delighted to become the first marina on the East Coast to utilise this state-of-the-art system.”
