Jack Hayden Named British Marine Apprentice of the Year
We’re incredibly proud to announce that Jack Hayden, Marina and Boatyard Operative Apprentice at Fambridge Yacht Haven, has been named the 2026 British Marine Apprentice of the Year.
The award was presented at the Southampton International Boat Show, recognising an exceptional apprentice making a difference within their role, business and the wider marine industry.
Jack began his journey at Fambridge as a weekend worker before progressing onto an apprenticeship. Since then, he has embraced every opportunity to develop his practical skills and knowledge, becoming a valued member of the yard team.
Speaking after his win, Jack said:
“I am incredibly proud to receive this award. My apprenticeship has given me the opportunity to turn my passion for boats and being on the water into a career, while learning new skills and gaining experience every day.”
The judging panel praised Jack’s passion for the marine industry, commitment to learning and his ability to inspire others through his own apprenticeship journey.
Jack also thanked his family, colleagues, mentors and everyone at Yacht Haven for their support.
