Effective from today, South West Water introduced a hosepipe ban following the extended period of dry weather.
For boat owners, this means that washing decks using a hose is currently not permitted but you can still clean your boat using water drawn into a bucket. You are allowed to fill your domestic tanks onboard for drinking, cooking and sanitary use.
As a commercial operator, we are still permitted to use our pressure washer when lifting boats ashore. Furthermore, boat cleaning is permitted if it is part of a business of professional service.
