In it's 55 year history, you'd be hard pushed to find better conditions for the Cowes Classic Offshore Powerboat Race than those that greeted the 2015 race.
Calm, flat, sunny waters provided perfect race conditions for the fastest powerboats in the world to race from Cowes, past Lymington and Hurst Castle, to Torquay and back. The conditions allowed for boats to race at exhilarating speeds with engines being pushed to (and beyond) their limits!
The sunny weekend in late summer allowed many Haven Quay residents to get afloat and watch the action up close and the powerboats raced past.
At an average speed of 82knots (95mph), Vector Martini Rosso to the Overall victory in a total time of 2 hours 21minutes. See the full results
