Last week, British Marine recognised excellence within the marine industry as part of the prestigious British Marine Awards 2016. Yacht Haven Quay, the UK’s first purpose-built Dry Stack Marina, was a finalist for the ‘Best Company To Work For (under 10 employees)’.
Now in its third year, with the largest number of entries to date, the Awards ceremony took place during an exclusive Black Tie Dinner underneath the legendary 19th century sailing ship, Cutty Sark, which has been moored in Greenwich since 1954.
Yacht Haven Quay Marina Manager Will Rahder was delighted to be acknowledged by British Marine saying, “I’m so pleased for the team here at Yacht Haven Quay that we’ve been recognised for our hard work. We run an efficient and friendly operation from our Plymouth base, but it is fantastic that British Marine have recognised this work at a national level”.
British Marine Chief Executive, Howard Pridding, praised all those honoured at the awards: “Our congratulations go to all the winners and finalists of this year’s British Marine Awards which also included our new Award – Best Marine Charity. We all want to be the best at what we do and these companies and charities who we have celebrated today can justifiably say that.”
