Thank you to the 16 boats and 39 berth holders who joined us for a rally to Yarmouth this weekend! A few more berth holders joined us for pontoon drinks who couldn’t resist the Yacht Haven hospitality set up, bring our numbers to 43 – even Arnie and Claire from LYC couldn’t resist.

A number of berth holders managed to beat the crowds and get their boats stern to, on a walk ashore pontoon, which provided the platform for the Lymington Yacht Haven Hospitality Bonanza!  Becki was dropped off on the pontoon lighting quick, and proceeded to setup a bar The Hut would have been proud of – offering a highly refreshing Hugo Spritz.

Pete and Sarah were on mooring buoy pick up duties and battled the Yarmouth current to ferry berth holders safely to the pontoon.

After a warming welcome, everyone departed in fine form to the Royal Solent Yacht Club for a delicious cold buffet lunch. The Royal Solent Yacht Club were incredibly welcoming and looked after us beautifully with a taste sensation of a lunch in their beautiful setting overlooking the Solent. We were blessed us with a light cooling breeze that flooded the room – we could have been in the Caribbean.

After a delightful lunch in great company, some departed straight from the Royal Solent Yacht Club back to their boats, some returned to the pontoon to enjoy the afternoon summer sun to enjoy a cooling glass of Rosé, while others headed off to Yarmouth beach for a much needed refreshing swim. Arnie challenged me to perform a (social media thing) commando backward summersault onto the RIB, which I duly accepted and to my surprise accomplished...in style.

And, as quickly as the LYH bar was set up, it was taken down and the team were off, speeding off into the beautiful evening sunset.

Thank you again to everyone who joined us and enjoy the photo gallery below!
