Over 1000 boats took part in the iconic race, making it the largest mass participation event in the UK since the first lockdown last year!

Well done to all the Lymington Yacht Haven berth holders who completed the race

Under grey skies and low cloud, the first start was  at 0630 meaning an early alarm for competitors. Light winds in the early morning meant a slow start but an westerly tide carried the fleet down the Solent to The Needles, and by mid-morning the breeze had started to build. By the time the majority of the fleet rounded St Catherine's at the southern tip of the island, there was a good breeze helping sailors on the second half of the race.

Line honours went to the MOD70 Powerplay in a little over four hours, with overall honours taken by SY Eeyore for the second time in a row!
