A rare opportunity has come up to join Yacht Havens Group Ltd, a highly successful family company running marinas around the UK and The Netherlands since 1972.
We are embarking on a new project on the outskirts of Lymington, developing an 11 acre brownfield site to offer high quality, secure indoor boat and car storage as well as a diverse range of other services and farming activities.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and hands-on Site Manager to lead the daily running of this site from sales and administration to project management and everything in between. This is a unique opportunity for someone who thrives on variety, enjoys building services from the ground up, and isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves.
Key responsibilities:
- Being the primary point of contact for customers
- Manage the processing of sales, bookings and invoices
- Oversee day-to-day site operations, ensuring efficiency and safety
- Plan and coordinate on-site projects, including liaising with contractors and trades
- Ensure site security and compliance with internal policies
- Work with internal teams (IT, marketing and accounts) and report regularly to senior management.
You will need to be:
- A people-person – eager to please and very helpful to customers
- Proactive, organised and able to solve problems
- Competent with IT and quick to learn our systems
- A self-starter, happy working independently and able to self-motivate
- Enjoy variety and thrive in an environment where no two days are quite the same!
Required skills and experience:
- Proven experience in site, yard, property or facilities management, or other comparable experience
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise work
- Working knowledge of health and safety regulations
- Strong written and verbal skills
- Confident communicator with customers and internal staff.
In return:
This is a full time, permanent position of 40 hours per week. A degree of flexibility is required, depending on peak busy periods.
This job is predominantly located at our new site, Haven Farm, located on the outskirts of Lymington. Occasional travel to Lymington Yacht Haven will also be required.
