Nordic Folkboats are extremely popular in Lymington waters and around the Solent with weekly fleet races run by the Royal Lymington Yacht Club, the Nordic Nationals held in Lymington River and the annual Folkboat Week in Yarmouth now in it's 70th year. However, only a handful of these 24" wooden boats have ever sailed any distance of note, with even fewer ever daring to take their classic boat to sea.
