We are delighted to announce that the 23ft open keel-less wooden boat featured in the Channel 4 series Mutiny, will be our star guest at the Marina Open Day on Good Friday.
The TV series recreated the 'Mutiny of the Bounty' where Captain William Bligh was overthrown and forced into a 23ft boat and left for dead. Bligh and his loyal men navigated 4000 miles to safety through some of the world's most remote and unforgiving seas - it remains one of the greatest survival feats in British history.
Led by round world sailor Conrad Humphreys and a team of nine men, the voyage was recreated for Channel 4 using traditional navigation equipment and surviving off the same meagre rations as Bligh.
Now based in Plymouth and owned by round the world sailor Conrad Humphreys, the boat is part of a new initiative with The Island Trust, a charity set up to support young and disadvantaged people with life changing voyages at sea, have agreed to work together on this new initiative called The Bounty Project.
Don't miss the final episode tonight on Channel 4 at 8pm!
