As part of our ongoing staff training, Fambridge Yacht Haven hosted a full scale emergency response exercise featuring a number of scenarios whilst working with a wide range of emergency services.
The marina staff were joined on-site by the South Woodham Ferrers Fire & Rescue department, the water rescue specialist unit, HM Coastguard and the Crouch Harbour Authority. Input was also provided by the Marine Police and Ambulance but they were called away.
The day forms part of our ongoing marina training and to ensure all our staff have the knowledge and understanding to respond to a wide range of emergency scenarios including:
- Boat fires (with and without the use of the dredger for fire fighting support)
- Mud rescue
- Missing person
- Marina evacuation
A big thank you to everyone involved in this training day.
Turn your sound on to head our marina sirens!
