The 2014 Fambridge Yacht Haven annual open day was a huge success, with hundreds of people coming along and the sun shining all day.
Anyone wanting to broaden their sailing knowledge, or just turning up to be entertained, were treated to a whole host of activities and information, provided by both Fambridge Yacht Haven and its tenants.
South Coast marine services gave life raft demonstrations throughout the day with marina staff being the guinea pig for jumping into the upturned life raft in the marina! South Coast marina services were also doing lifejacket inspections.
1st Class sailing were offering short cruises all day, for free, on one of their training yachts and West Wick Yacht Club were kept busy all day with their free dinghy sailing taster sessions, with RYA instruction.
For those attending the event that wanted to stay on dry land, the shanty band filled the air with live music and the clubhouse was open all day with refreshments being served and a delicious BBQ at lunchtime.
Fambridge Yacht Haven staff were on hand all day, free to talk to everyone about the marina and the facilities it has to offer.
