The One Show on the BBC has filmed a Dolphin superpod off the Pembroke coast, having used Neyland Yacht Haven as their launch base.
After hearing reports of a superpod of Dolphins in the Bristol Channel, The One Show brought a film crew to Neyland Yacht Haven to search for them. Filming took place overlooking the marina from the local footpath, before they took to sea with local conservation group Sea Trust.
In the clear, crisp autumn waters, the superpod appeared allowing for some incredible footage. The Sea Trust estimated over 1,000 common dolphins swimming together around 12miles off the Pembrokeshire coast.
Dolphins are a common sight around the waters of Pembrokshire. Seals and porpoises are often spotted close to Neyland Yacht Haven with many berth holders telling stories of how they are escorted around the waters by small dolphin pods.
Neyland Yacht Haven is delighted to have hosted The One Show, the BBC film crew and Sea Trust.
