Owain Jennings will be carrying out 'seven rides' in seven days, across Pembrokeshire beginning on 7th April.
The cycle rides are part of a major fundraising campaign to send Owain, who has Autistic Spectrum Disorder, to Peru in 2015. He will be participating in an expedition, organised and supported by Camps International. It will be a four week trip and will include community development work, environmental projects and wildlife conservation. It will also include a personal challenge at the end of the trip which is a trek up to Machu Picchu. The main aims of the expedition are to undertake projects in order to raise the educational, and living standards of developing communities within a rural district of Peru, as well as assisting with ongoing wildlife conservation programmes to preserve biodiversity and protect vulnerable habitats.
On Saturday 12th April, the penultimate ride will start at 10am from Neyland Yacht Haven, cycle to Haverfordwest and then return. Neyland Yacht Haven will be putting up a marquee on the marina patio, where a host of fundraising activities will take place. Homemade cakes and crafts will be for sale, 'guess the weight of the Simnel cake', 'guess the name of the bunny', Suttons seeds will be for sale, music and so on.....
In order to go, Owain needs to raise the sum of £3890
