We're delighted to announce that The Salt Lodge at Troon Yacht Haven is now open!
The new hotel on Scotland's west coast is the first for marina owner, operator and developer Yacht Havens Group.
The Salt Lodge at Troon Yacht Haven offers the perfect staycation destination with ten suites, all equipped with one or two bedrooms, kitchenette and stunning views over Troon marina and the Firth of Clyde.
Inspired by a 'Scandi-Scot' design and the popular 'hygge' lifestyle that represents comfort and warmth, the ten suites are built with ocean coloured weatherboarding which echo Scandinavian timber houses and traditional Scottish boathouses. The pitched roofs reflect the rigging from yachts in the marina with the maritime theme continued internally into the soft furnishings.
Each suite an individual stamp with feature fabrics and wallpaper created from blueprints of yachts designed by the world renowned William Fife III and family of nearby Fairlie. Walls will also feature photographs of Fife yachts racing in Scotland.
Eight of the ten luxury suites will boast a balcony opening out over Troon Harbour and/or the pretty and bustling marina with two further suites offering a panoramic terrace to suit larger families and dogs.
Guests will also be just a few steps away from stylish and relaxed dining at popular Ayrshire bar and restaurant Scotts, which offers seasonally changing menus and views over the marina.
Announcing the opening of The Salt Lodge, Stephen Bennie, Manager of Troon Yacht Haven, says:
“We're delighted that The Salt Lodge is officially open. The unique, ocean coloured appearence offers a striking balance against the scenic marina and Firth of Clyde. Wtih research showing that staycations will become increasingly popular, we hope our suites will offer the perfect coastal getaway for families, golfers, boaters and tourists."
