Assistant Marina Manager Pete Jennings has been awarded Certified Marina Manager (CMM) accreditation by industry bodies British Marine & the Global Marina Institute. With only a small handful of marina managers around the world achieving the CCM designation, Pete joins an exclusive group of marina professionals.
Pete joined Lymington Yacht Haven in 2010 following a career in superyachts around Europe and the Caribbean, as well as opening a marina in Bahrain in the early 2000s. In addition to his new CMM designation, Pete is a Yachtmaster Offshore skipper as well as holding a Bachelor’s Degree in Financial Services and a qualified drone pilot.
Starting as a marina Haven Master at the Yacht Haven, Pete has since adopted responsibility for the marina’s health and safety procedures, managing many of the Yacht Havens’ events, as well as being front-of-house to welcome berth holders and visiting boaters.
Located in the western Solent, Lymington Yacht Haven is home to over 620 annual berth holders as well as welcoming many thousands of visiting boats throughout the year, making it one of the most popular marinas in northern Europe.
Upon receiving the CMM accreditation, James commented:
“I’m extremely proud to have achieved the CMM accreditation and the support that Lymington Yacht Haven and Yacht Havens Group has given me to undertake this course. My role at Lymington Yacht Haven has constantly evolved over the past decade as I grew more confident in the industry, and this new CMM accreditation will definitely help me in the years to come.”
